Journey of gratitude and alleviation of Agent Orange pain at Vietnam Friendship Village

The program is a sincere thank you to the veterans who have dedicated their youth to the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. At the Friendship Village Hall, exchange and entertainment activities such as painting statues, drawing pictures, blowing balloons, etc. were organized for disabled children affected by Agent Orange. The volunteer group also had the opportunity to listen to touching stories from veterans, learn about their journey through the pain of war and visit areas such as charity houses, vocational training centers, medical centers, etc.

Intech Group participated in activities to connect with children affected by Agent Orange

Although the time was not long, with all sincerity and sharing, Intech staff spread love through practical actions, warm smiles and enthusiasm in each activity, contributing to bringing a meaningful day to the veterans and children here.

Mr. Duong Dinh Thuc - Head of the Administration Department of the Friendship Village shared: “Currently, the Vietnam Friendship Village is providing regular and rotating care and nursing for about 200 people, including veterans, former youth volunteers and victims affected by Agent Orange/dioxin. Most of them have many illnesses and their health has seriously declined due to the consequences of the war”. Despite many difficulties in terms of material conditions and human resources, the staff of the Village is always dedicated and responsible in the care, treatment and rehabilitation work. In particular, the children in the Village receive special attention and education in both physical and mental aspects, many of whom have gradually integrated into the community and found suitable jobs.
 

Admiring the persistent efforts of the staff of the Friendship Village, Mr. Hoang Huu Yen - General Director of Intech Group expressed: "The humane activities of the Friendship Village clearly demonstrate the morality of 'When drinking water, remember its source', which is a symbol of deep gratitude to those who have contributed to the revolution, and at the same time actively contributes to overcoming the consequences of war."
